Talisman. It is the most fun digital board game I’ve ever played. It’s a game for up to 6 players, with 18 expansion packs and over 20 different characters you can play but you don’t need any of that, as long as you have the base game, you can have so much fun.

When I bought this game for myself, I didn’t really know what to expect but what I got gave me hours of fun. It’s a game of strategy and somewhat luck. At the start of the game, you pick a character, and each character has a special ability with its own stats (see interactive image), your goal in the base game is to get to the crown of commandment and wipe out the enemy players but to do this it requires you to get stronger by traveling around the map fighting monsters, fight other players and gain items to become stronger. To do this you need to trade in trophies from enemies you defeated (see image below), items you pick up, spells you cast and random encounters you face when moving across the map. Finally you need the talisman, you must have this item to access the crown of commandment otherwise you will be blocked from entry.

I enjoy this game because it's so simple and there’s so much content that can be played. Personally, I really enjoy dice/fantasy-type rooting games meaning that this game was a perfect fit for me. I even bought the expansion packs to give me more content despite the base game giving you hours of gameplay and free expansion trails every week. Furthermore, the games simple controls (note the word simple and not intuitive controls) enable me to easily play the game without too much hassle and the fun random chance of beating a random dragon that you encounter is light-heartedly entertaining and frustrating.
With that being said this game takes a long time to complete … a very long time. My longest game was 6 hours and by that time I was rooting for anyone even the enemy players to win but despite this, I still really enjoyed it because of the special abilities simple combat system, and the fun I had with friends when playing it.

A great video made by the hilariously funny RT Game that showcases them playing talisman:
