Social Media Marketing

By using my 3 key social media pages: Instagram, Twitter, and Discord I created a strong brand identity to help back up and push the blog to more viewers. Instagram is one of the best platforms to be able to be discovered on and one of the most marketable platforms according to Statista, therefore, choosing this social media as a basis to promote my blog was a great idea as well as it being a platform full of creators it represents a big market for bloggers and gamers alike. Twitter was chosen because it houses a large community of creators similar to Instagram but is also a vast and quick spreading information house for creators and is regally known for the controversial and cancellable tweets creators or developers tweet out. Discord was simply chosen for it being known for “gamers” as well as being a great platform to easily gather and chat to my viewers/commentators giving a much closer interaction between reader and blogger which should help engage my audience further with my blog and other social media platforms.

Instagram

I created an incentivizing post via a cliff-hanger message with “new blog post soon” this allows commentators and viewers who would be interested in finding out more to want to follow my Instagram account and visit my page. Also, I choose a niche game to help represent the range of topics I would cover on my blog. I included a small description of the post allowing the viewer to have a sense of what the post will be about as well as a small insight into my style of writing and games.


Furthermore, the use of hashtags allows an easy free method of sharing my content to people who might be interested in the topics (hashtags) therefore allowing a better opportunity for my content to be discovered.


Similarly in the last 3 posts, modifying the hashtags to fit this post allows the hashtags to better represent both the topic and viewers, therefore, it should attract more attention as it better represents the market of Genshin players.

This post had some modifications made to it such as colour gradient changes to help the images stand out creating a slightly more entertaining image for viewers


Twitter


The first and third posts from my Twitter have synergy between my Instagram posts. This synergy allows continuity between my social media accounts allowing viewers to understand what’s coming soon. Furthermore, the use of hashtags on Twitter greatly increased my interaction, especially for my poll post.

By posting a poll and allowing viewers to vote it allows people to feel more a part of my content, therefore, increasing the chances of people wanting to view my posts as they identify with my content. An integral part of the uses and gratifications of an audience.


Discord

By creating a list of channels on my Discord it allows people to communicate with my posts and/or anything they want (within guidelines) and further boosts that social interaction allowing my brand to become somewhat of a community for people with similar interests. This key identification element within discord represents a shift in marketing from just a promotional image or tweet into something much closer-knit with the readers of my content. Furthermore, it allows instant feedback and discussion on posts which is far better than the built-in comments section on the website therefore again creating that community that helps build a strong brand.


For example, my announcement tab helps release quick and easy information for my viewers to see and access, like my other social media accounts as well as my blog. Whereas my "General channel" allows viewers in for discussions/just chatting scenarios.
